Crown Steam GLT-40 Description
When water in the Crown Steam GLT-40 steam kettle needs to be refilled, a light will shine, and the water window will show low levels. For steaming, the bottom two thirds of the unit holds water, and if it gets low, it will automatically shut off to protect the heating elements. Providing additional safety measures, this unit has a pressure relief valve and gas shut-off valve.
The Crown Steam GLT-40 tilting kettle has thermostatic controls for adjusting the temperature between 165 and 275 degrees Fahrenheit, and to retain hot air, it is insulated, which also reduces energy costs. Reducing the risk of corrosion when used with acidic foods, the interior is lined with 316 stainless steel, and the exterior is made of durable stainless steel. After cooking, the kettle can be tilted with a manual crank to empty the contents.
